"I Quit Smoking" - One woman's story

I smoked for 9 years, and while I quit a few times along the way, I always went back. Then, a few years ago, I decided to quit for good.
Like many of you reading this, I started smoking early - at 15. My parents smoked, my sister smoked, and many of the people in my new social group smoked too - so of course I would join the pack! Smoking was cool, it was fun, and it felt good. It gave me something to do. Looking back, it was the most stupid - and most dangerous - decision of my young life.
In college, smoking became a way to meet people. There was camaraderie in it. We would stand outside of Lithicum Hall - a great mass of us - in those long minutes before class, puffing away, and talking. And it wasn't just students, professors joined us. In a way, we made social inroads we could have never gotten to in the lecture hall.
In graduate school, fewer of my friends were smokers. Those of us who were would sneak out to a balcony during the 10-minute breaks and puff away but I had little …

Susan Boyle

I didn't get a clue about her in the first place until Linda with her niece, Ann talking about this lady. They watched her performance at YouTube, British Got Talent. And I just did. Her voice is stunning. It's unbelieveable. She has been a true global phenomenon. She has Wikipedia on her, fan site here and here.
She has been interviewed by Larry King, Oprah, BBC Scotland and many more. From BBC News.
"I cried SO hard," read one. "There's something so beautiful about reaching your dreams... and knowing that age means nothing."
"Susan Boyle is the ugly duckling who didn't need to turn into a swan; she has fulfilled the dreams of millions who, downtrodden by the cruelty of a culture that judges them on their appearance, have settled for life without looking in the mirror."
Another wrote: "I cry because she reminds us to hope, to never lose track of our dreams, to keep putting one foot in front of the other no matter what others say or thi… will help you by detecting your location and estimating the best time frame for taking blue hour pictures at your location.
Ain't this cool? But looking at the hour, it's my bed time.

Blue Hour

What is Blue Hour?
From wikipedia

The blue hour comes from a French expression (l'heure bleue), which refers to twilight, the period each morning and evening where there is neither full daylight nor complete darkness. The time is considered special because of the quality of the light at this time of day (also in photography; it is considered especially flattering for people with blond hair) and because in the summer, this is often when the smell of the flowers is at their strongest.

sunset at Pantai Layang-Layangan. We arrived abit late but just in time for a decent sunset.

It's holiday!

Happy Holiday to my friends! It must be fun to sleep till noon. :) An outing with Jeffrey for night photography at Pan Pacific Sutera yesterday. Thanks, man. Sure lots of mosquito yesterday. It's quite impressive what the camera could do for night shot. Practise makes perfect.
